Dream Of The Sea

When my clothes are worn
And I haven’t got the time
I’m kicking sand alone
And my dreams don’t seem to work
There’s a place some go
Across the road, the fields
Some say it’s out of reach
Some say it’s not for real

When the ships are in the harbour
They're calling on me
I’ll take my chance
I’ll take my things
Dream of a life at sea

That’s when I dream
Dream of the sea

As the sun begins to go
The clouds are all I see
I take my time and I wonder
Dream of a life at sea

That’s when I dream
Dream of the sea

Desert Blues

Get under the earth
Sink into the sand
This must be the place
Where they touch god's hand
She's over the night
In a far off room
They sing it in the morning
And it rings aout at noon

We kissed on the train
Slipped on the rain
She fell through the door
On a window pain
The house and walls
They cry at the moon
The men are all weeping
And the clocks are out of tune

Someone here’s got the desert blues
The desert blues

The bridges burn
The white sands blow
An old man sings
Nowhere else to go
You follow the footprints
Paved with gold
There’s a light in your eye
It’s a thousand years old

Someone here's got the desert blues
The desert blues

Seas Of Wyoming

Seas of Wyoming
Bring me back home
Sing me a river
Don't leave me alone
Dark blue moon
Drift me away
Sound me asleep
I'm so far
Far away

See the horizon
Circle round me
One hundred years ago
Where could they all be

You were going nowhere
I was going there too
We found each other
Under a moon so blue

I sailed to sea
You pulled me back
There's nothing smaller
Than the life on your back

You were going nowhere
I was going there too
We found each other under

Seas of Wyoming
Bring me back home
Sing me a river
Don't leave me alone

You were going nowhere
I was going there too
We found each other
Under a moon so blue

Moon so blue

Tylor Durand: Vocal / Acoustic guitar

Blood On The Moon

You been crawling on the ground
A ll through the night
Searching all around
For the dark sunlight
New England snow
A darkened road
There’s a light underground
You gonna follow slow

Well yer gonna know
When there’s blood on the moon
Where you gonna go
When there’s blood on the moon

When the night opens up
Without a sound
And the winds are blowing rough
All through this town
There’s a place in the dark
We all gonna go
Its deep in yer mind
Like New England snow

Well yer gonna know
When there’s blood on the moon
Where you gonna go
When there’s blood on the moon

Man With Van 1

He's picking up, he's dropping off
He's making just enough
He's got a map and a plan
He's a man with van

Man with van

Well the work is rough
And the days are long
His hands are tough
They're a million miles long

Man with van

He's got a steady right hand
He's riding along the Siene
There's a girl out of town
He wants to settle down

Man with van

Tylor Durand: Vocal / Acoustic guitar / Percussion

Five & Dime (Fragments)

Well she's been thinking
About leaving home
And he's been drinking
Spending his time alone

Something just ain't right
They were living on the five and dime
They were trying to waste some time

Nothing was ever done
About the way she would run
He was looking for her tonight
Under some strange light

Tylor Durand: Vocal / Acoustic guitar

On The Farm

Well the daughters wear red
They are blonde yeah
They don't know what dad means
When he hits mom

There's a chain in the barn
And it keeps them home
You ain't going nowhere
They want to run

Well the sky is so big
They can get away
On another day
But not today

Tylor Durand: Vocal / Acoustic guitar

Falling To The Sea

If I fall into the mountain
And into the sea
How long will it take
For you to rescue me

If it takes a whole lifetime
Or just one night
Will I have enough time
To put up a fight

Cause its you that I'm waiting for

If I stumbled through the daytime
Get lost in the night
Will it bk ok
Will it be alright

If it takes one hundred hours
Or just a few days
For you to come around
For you to stay

Because it's you that I'm falling for

Tylor Durand: Vocal / Acoustic guitar

Storm That Never Comes 1

The light shining bright
The road is all but gone
They seem to be waiting
For a storm that never comes

Alone to pass some time
He stares into the night
She reads between the lines
Something here just ain’t right
Something just ain’t right

Some forgotten highway
She leads herself away
With nothing up ahead
He goes the other way
Goes the other way

Out of state plates
He carries through the night
She seemed to be waiting
For just another fight
Just another fight

Some forgotten highway
She simply slips away
There’s something up ahead
For a storm that never comes
Storm that never comes

Tylor Durand: Vocal / Acoustic guitar

Storm That Never Comes 2

The light shining bright
The road is all but gone
They seem to be waiting
For a storm that never comes

Alone to pass some time
He stares into the night

Something here just ain’t right
Something just ain’t right

Some forgotten highway
She leads herself away
With nothing up ahead
He goes the other way
Goes the other way

Yankee Go Home

Her House
Original version by Madness

Her house
In the middle of Montreuil
Her house
A cross the way from her brother
Her house
With a brand new fire place
Her house
But we’ll never have the keys

Heureuse
En plein cœur de Montreuil
Heureuse
A côté de chez son frère
Heureuse
Avec une nouvelle cheminée
Heureuse
Mais on aura jamais les clés

Her house
That’s the place we like to be
Her house
Where everyone is free
Her house
Next to a bar just called Momo
Her house
A place we allways like to go

Heureuse
Une maison où l’on veut vivre
Heureuse
Un endroit où je suis libre
Heureuse
A côté de chez Momo
Heureuse
il fais toujours beau

Well Ive been drinking
Most every night
And my bartender
He ain't putting up a fight
Since you left me
My life ain't right

I'll go sober for you

Well I been thinking
My whole life through
I got to find a way
To make it all up to you

The Employees

Yesturday Is Gone

I seen hard luck and troubled times
I been a broke and bitter man
But I'm changing cause I'm seeing signs
That maybe baby you could understand

That I try to love you baby
If you could be with a man like me

I'd hold you through the night
And in the daytime treat you right
I'll settle down just like a stone
And never leave you all alone

Because I try to love you baby
If you could be with a man like me

Yesturday is gone
But I got to carry on
Cause tomorrow's another day
And another chance to say

That I try to love you baby
If you could be
If you could see
If you could be with a man like me

Man With Van 2

He's picking up, he's dropping off
He's making just enough
He's got a map and a plan

Man with van

Well the work is rough
And the days are long
His hands are tough
They're a million miles long

Man with van

There's a light on the road
He's got an hour to go
There's a bird on the wire
He's fixing to retire

Man with van

He's breaking all the rules
He's shooting dirty pool
When there's noone around
He drives way out of town

Man with van

He's got a strong left hand
He's riding along the Siene
He's got a girl out of town
He never slows down

The Boners

Belgian Boob Blues

Deep in a bar called the Elephant
I wasn’t there, but I should’ve went
If I had known, what she was gonna do
Now I got, the Belgian Boob Blues

She pulled it up, and then she pulled it down
And you could see those boobs from across town

Elle etait saoule, elle n’etait pas moche
Elle a ecrit mon nom, sur son sein gauche

I got home at station Robespierre
Quand je me couche my head was finally clear
How could I know because I wasn’t there
Yet in the next room was another pair

Ecoutez moi bien, quand je vous dit
If you’re ever in a bar out in gay Paris
Don’t go home too soon or you’ll have them too
Talking about those Belgian Boob Blues

Qu’est-que-on doit faire
Je n’etais pas la, et maintenant je regrette
Qu’est-que-on doit faire
J’aurais du savoir

Joe Popp

Little Robert Oppenhiemer

Little Robert Oppenhiemer
Wasn't like the other kids
While they were playing football and soccer
He was mutating aphids
Then one day for a science experiment
And a little help from his mom
Little Robert Oppenhiemer
built his very first bomb

Then he blew up the world
Blew up the world

Someone said I love your bomb
Give you four thousand English pounds
If you show me how to make a bigger one
We'll keep you around
So Robert went down to his basement
With some plutonium U2-35
Says I'll show you how to make
The biggest damn bomb
There's be noone left alive

Then he blew up the world
Blew up the world

Pete Sabin, Are You High?

Pete Sabin what do you say
How many joints did you smoked today
You look kinda high
Your eyes are deep set
I think there's some ice cream
That needs to be get

Pete Sabin are you high?

I saw you eating a croque messier
I think thats three or four
You smoked the whole bag
Now you got the munchies
You're longing for something crunchy

Pete Sabin are you high?

You came to the party
With a bag of weed
Now your going home with nothing
You smoked it all up
Didn't even offer me a bowl
Sometimes you're such a fucking asshole

Pete Sabin are you high?

Let's Go To The Bibliotheque

Want to go to the Pompidou
Like all good tourists do
But I got in the wrong line
Stood there for an hour or two

Let's go to the Pompidou, what the heck
Or maybe let's just go to the bibliotheque

This is a really cool museum
Never seen this many books
Thought I'd see some cool art
Who are all these fucking kooks
Writing down stuff and pulling out
Microfilm, is that still made?
There's floors and floors of this shit
Where's the Picasso paintings?

Parlez-vous any Anglais?
"No you stupid fucking guy!"
Went in the wrong door
It's not my fault
But I will just say no to you

Oh at the bibliotheque
We can watch a Lee Marvin movie
Or some old episodes of SWAT
But tell me where's Picasso?

Here we are at the Pompidou
They got lots of books and videos too
Let's try to check some out
Oh I think we...oh no!

We're not in the Pompidou
We're in the library that shares the same office space
So they could split the rent
And get a better lease

This isn't what we came here for
I think we came in the wrong door
We're trying to go to the Pompadour
And we wound up here

I think I'll just buy a book mark
Maybe I'll pay some of my late fees
Can you help me find the ark
You stupid Americans with your stupid farts
I can't help it we went to a chili party last night
Now its time for France to pay the price

Cause we're
Farting in the bibliotheque
It smells like heck
Have you ever smelled such dreck
Coming out of my bung-hole

I tell you what, i'll make some art of my own
Just show me where the bathroom's thrown
I'll squirt out some chocolate moose
You and your friends will make it loose
We call it American chocolate pudding sprayed out nice
Oh I think I'm gonna do it again twice

We finally got in to the Pompidou
Found the right door after an hour or two
Paid our price, only ten Franc
Or Euros or whatever they're called, what the fuck
I think the books were prettier
At least the covers were better drawn
Why does Picasso put both sides on somebody's head like a flounder?
Who are all these other fucks?
They paint a piece of canvas and all of a sudden it becomes quite rare

When Parachutes Fail

Dancing With The Devil

Sixty minutes in a holding cell
She asks, "Are we in Hell?"
I guess it could be wore than that
To be in the cold flat on your back
Well it takes time to realize
That we live outside the flow of time
And when the dark comes over me
I'll already be there waiting in line

Dancing with the devil
On a moonlit night

As he walks through my dreams
Crazy as that might seem
Have you ever felt caught in life
In the middle of a frozen stream
In hotel bars with washed up stars
He talks trash with a spanish guitar
She can't get going in the morning
He can't stop his past from catching up

Dancing with the devil
On a moonlit night

So of the few things I think I know
What's clear is the pain of fear
So I'm going where life don't mean so much
Down below the conscious flow
And like an old train on the wrong side
Look at the canyon, the world is on it's side

Dancing with the devil
On a moonlit night
